So – What’s the deal with Memory Maker?

When planning your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida there are many ways to customize your trip to make it perfect for whatever fits your family’s needs and budget. One of the options I’m most often asked about is Walt Disney World’s Memory Maker option.

Memory Maker includes digital downloads of photos taken by Disney’s Photopass Photographers as well as on-ride photos and videos. Have you seen the Cast Members in the parks wearing the khaki vests holding cameras? Those photos will be included! The great part about this is that everyone can be in the photo together! That’s right Moms – you’ll actually be in the photo with your family!  You’ll end up with a whole host of adorable family photos, capturing all the amazing memories from your family vacation, and you won’t have to pay a thing for prints!

Another great perk to Cast Member taken photos are magic shots. Magic Shots are fun photos where they will ask you to make a silly pose- like hold out your empty hands. When you go back and look at them a character will have magically appeared in your photo with you!  Some of my personal favorites are the Magic Shots of holding Mickey Balloons or holding Baby Simba in Animal Kingdom.  And of course, holding Tinkerbell in your hands is always so precious and iconic too!

Ride photos are also included in your Memory Maker purchase! Capturing the surprise and joy as you ride is a treasure in itself (and sometimes the terror can leave you with quite a few giggles as well!). In addition to photos, Tower of Terror and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train also include a ride video- but the only way to get it is to have Memory Maker!  And in just the past couple of weeks, they have also started rolling out “voicemails” from characters!  Guests with Memory Maker have been getting voice messages from Mickey and Minnie after visiting a park!

The Memory Maker package is available for guests at a discounted rate of $169 when purchasing in advance, or $199 when purchasing within three days of your vacation.
